"PARENT OF THE YEAR AWARD"
This award celebrates a parent that best exemplifies a love and enjoyment of horse showing while
supporting the exhibitors and PHSA - recognizing the many hours of support and encouragement parents
provide. This person should demonstrate good sportsmanship and the ability to be a positive influence to
others.

Know a parent who is a great role model or has sacrificed for their junior exhibitors?
Send your nominee and a brief description of why they are deserving of this award to any PHSA Board
Member.
SUBMIT nominee by January 5th, 2017.

SCHOLARSHIPS

"FROM THE HEART SCHOLARSHIP AWARD"
The scholarship is for $1000 and is open to both high school seniors planning to attend college next year
and college students already enrolled in school. Candidates will write a short essay about a person or
horse that played an important part in their lives as an equestrian. These essays will be considered by the
members of the PHSA board. The winner will be awarded the scholarship at the 36th Annual Awards
Banquet.

Eligible candidates should submit their essays via e-mail by January 5th, 2017.

"HORSE SHOW OF THE YEAR AWARD"
This award recognizes the PHSA member horse show who
in 2016 provided the best horse show experience for riders,
trainers, owners, spectators, and horses. Nominees should
promote competition and sportsmanship.

beyond for an exhibitor?
